Have you ever heard of the term "tired soul"? Have you ever felt tired even though there is no reason for it? If most of the time you feel exhausted, weak, or listless, it may not be your tired body, but your soul. Most of us will blame stress, lack of sleep, hard and exhausting work, insufficient physical activity, and more, however, some symptoms indicate that it is not your tired body, but your soul.
SYMPTOMS OF A TIRED SOUL
1. You are tired even though you sleep all night - You find it hard to get up in the morning when you wake up even though you have slept for 8 hours. This is one of the basic indicators that your soul is tired and not your body.
2. Escape from reality - Do you often find yourself waking up dreaming of a different life? In this way, the soul sends you a signal to feel exhausted. Do you think about your past as often or are you afraid of your future? Do you shoot in every way to avoid the present? You are not interested in anything, and you do not have the will to take any action? You are not happy with the things that used to make you happy, and due to constant fatigue, you have no desire to do anything. You have sudden mood swings, which further exhaust and tire you, which further leads to the inability to control emotions. How many times have you caught yourself getting angry or offended by a trifle, starting to cry, or laughing unexpectedly and for no reason? If you often witness such events, surely the reason is a tired soul.
3. Pretend to be well - It is in our nature to use unconscious compensatory mechanisms that protect us from danger. So don't be surprised if you use laughter to hide your sadness from others. While our soul suffers, we use a mask, neglect, and ignore our hardships which leads to worsening of the condition. Keep in mind that each of us has a limited capacity for suffering.
4. You are lonely - If you often pretend to be well, rarely will anyone know how you feel. And you will look at it as if no one understands you and you will feel lonely and rejected.
5. You want to be alone and hide from everyone - A clear sign that your soul is tired is if you have a tendency to be alone and distance yourself from all people, especially those closest to you. You think negatively, small things no longer make you happy, you can't remember some beautiful moments that make you happy, which just means that you are focused on negative experiences and that your soul is very tired because of that.
6. Often, fatigue is a consequence of sadness - The sadness we feel towards situations that we cannot change or influence, or we have the feeling that we are not able to change them.
HOW TO REST YOUR SOUL?
Set aside 30 to 60 minutes each day when you won’t be doing anything, just anything. To completely rest your body, it is necessary not to assign any tasks to yourself during that time. It doesn't matter what time of day it is. Sit or lie down, settle comfortably in a place that gives you peace and a sense of relaxation. When you are comfortably seated, just rest. Don't think about what you have done or what you are about to do. Without any examination or analysis.
Self-persecution is an internal mechanism that has serious consequences for our souls. This mechanism works by working on the principle of compulsion, which is not in line with our reality. These mechanisms are most often responsible for not being able to consciously allow ourselves to rest. They appear in our earliest childhood under the influence of the upbringing of our parents or guardians. This mechanism works on the principle that it creates a feeling of guilt and discomfort if we do not fulfill something, and at the same time, they create pressure and difficulties in functionality and a sense of satisfaction. There are five such mechanisms, and they are: Be perfect, be strong, please others, hurry, work hard. Each of us has two mechanisms, one of which is the main one and the other the supporting one. Diagnose which are the two mechanisms in your case. You will determine this based on the fact that you set yourself a task that does not suit you, you are not okay with doing it or that way, but you feel great discomfort if you do not do it.
I suggest that within one week, be sure to introduce free time in which you will enjoy and do what you want at that moment. Within one working week in which you are overwhelmed with obligations and business activities for five days, use the weekend for rest and some activities that make you happy and fulfilled at that moment. Follow the dynamics of 5 days of work and 2 days of maximum rest to Avoid Burnout.
For our organism to be completely rested, it is necessary to fill its energy reservoir, and it is filled with leisure and relaxing tasks and activities. Once a month it would be good to change your environment by going on a trip for example. The hormone of happiness (serotonin) is secreted by changing the environment, fulfilling your goals, being grateful for what you have and for what is yet to come. During the year, it would be welcome to have 1 to 3 vacations lasting about ten days, depending on who is on what occasion. Three weeks are necessary to break the previously created neural connections, so everything that is not necessary will leave our memory, and in that way will free up the space of our memory. Less important is the destination as much as it is important to distance yourself from the daily routine that is filled with business tasks and obligations.
When our soul is rested, we are more ready and able to better understand situations and circumstances, and with the accumulated strength we make decisions easier to take action and influence what we can.
